  • In-browser calculations with clear inputs and outputs.
  • Transparent assumptions, sources, and limitations on every tool.
  • Fast, mobile-first layouts with accessible defaults.
  • No paywalls for core calculator use.

How calculators are built and reviewed

Accuracy and clarity come first. Every tool and guide is built to help real decisions, with sources, methodology, and limits visible. SEO supports the experience, not the other way around.

Source-backed formulas

Formulas are pulled from authoritative sources and cited on each page. Links are checked before publishing.

Transparent assumptions

Assumptions are listed in plain language, with limits called out when a tool is not a fit.

Testing and sanity checks

Results are tested with known examples, edge cases, and compared with reputable calculators for consistency.

Accessible by design

Every calculator is mobile-first, keyboard-friendly, and paired with readable summaries.

Editorial standards and disclosure

Clear sources, honest limitations, and easy ways to reach Aaron if something looks off.

Sources you can verify

We prioritize .gov/.edu and primary sources. Links are verified before publishing.

Updates and corrections

Every page shows a last updated date. Dates change only for substantive updates; corrections are reviewed, updated, and noted.

People-first content

Guides answer real questions with original examples or decision guidance. No fluff.

Privacy and ads

CalcWise uses privacy-friendly analytics, and ads are kept minimal. Depending on your region, AdSense may show a cookie consent banner. See the Privacy page for details.

How CalcWise is funded

CalcWise is self-funded by Aaron Jegla until ads can cover basic website costs. Ads stay minimal and clearly labeled.
